In this image we see the branch of a carob tree, the fruits of which were a valuable part of the Balearic economy. However, due to economic and systematic changes, it has lost the importance it once held in the past.
The phrase that titles the work, "This story is no longer available", can be found as an error message on the social network Instagram, where its users share stories that self-destruct after 24 hours. Stories with an expiration date are not made to survive the passage of time, but instead to reflect a moment, before hastily disappearing into absolute oblivion. This reflects what is happening with our local history and traditions today.
